Every Wednesday I take part in a Bible Discussion Group at a local coffee shop. It’s kind of like a Bible Study, but every one takes part and it isn’t strictly organized. Some weeks we have a topic, others we leave it open to just share how God has revealed himself to each of us. I thought I would start to share some of the thoughts that we discuss.

1. Prayer is what moves God. James 5:15-16 He desires that we seek him out, often. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 God values the prayers of the saints. Revelation 5:8.

2. When we feel insignificant and have a lack of confidence, we can go to James 1:15. We have no need to fear when we are a single light among the darkness. Matthew 10:22.

3. Patience is the key to endure to the end. Hebrews 12:1-2 The “Hall of Faith” Hebrews 11, is loaded with examples of 1 person in each generation that lived for God surrounded by many that didn’t. Are we living a life that will merit the addition of our name to the “Hall of Faith”?

4. Break up your fallow ground, don’t allow good ground in your life go to waste from disuse or be used in an unholy manner. Hosea 10:12-13.
