Psalms 95:2  Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Tozer said in classic The Pursuit of God:

“At the heart of the Christian message is God Himself waiting for His redeemed children to push into conscious awareness of His presence.

That type of Christianity which happens now to be in vogue knows this Presence only in theory. It fails to stress the Christians privilege of present realization.

According to its teachings we are in the presence of God positionally, and nothing is said about the need to experience the Presence actually.”

Written in 1948 , this is still true today It reminds me of a lesson using the game Hide and Seek, played with a grandpa  as an example.  Grandpa doesn’t hide long to torment or frustrate the child, but wants to be found and often shows a portion of himself as a hint of where he is. Grandpa can’t wait to see the child come running, with open arms “I found you, I found you”! wanting to be in the Presence of Grandpa. God, too, wants us to coming running to Him, loving Him, seeking his Help, enjoying His word, worshiping with His people

Psalms 100:2  Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
