When you are praying about something that is important to you and you need answers. And the Bible App scriptures of the day come in this succession, I think God is reminding me to trust, pray, wait, keep my hope in him, and give him praise while he works it all out.

troubled heart

John 14:1
– Let not your heart be troubled

Promise

2 Peter 3:9

still

Psalms 46:10 – Be still and KNOW that I am God

thanks

Psalms 105:1
– Give thanks unto the Lord.

While it may be a coincidence that the scriptures have come in this order at this time, but God can speak to the heart in many ways. Thankful for peace in an unknowing time.
alone with God

Prayer invites encouragement. Why?

Because it WORKS!

We wouldn’t be instructed to pray if it didn’t work. Encouragement comes when God answers prayer which then perpetuates the practice of prayer. The more evidence of answered prayer, the greater the faith in God, the more people will rely on prayer and communication with him.

…the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16

Prayer helps to accomplish many things. It works when all else fails.

Is Anything to Hard for God?

 It’s out of your hands
You’ve done all you can do
You’ve given God the problem
It’s no longer up to you
You’ve prayed the prayer of faith
You’re standing on God’s truth
While you’re waiting on the answer
He has a question for you

Is anything too hard for God?
Who’s got a problem
Beyond His power to solve?
Are there situations
He’s not the Master of?
Is any thing too hard for God?

Only believe
Trust His word
You’ll see
His plans are now unfolding
Performing perfectly
It’s clear how much He loves you
Look at all He’s done
For all your questions
There’s really only one

Is anything too hard for God?
Who’s got a problem
Beyond His power to solve?
Are there situations
He’s not the Master of?
Is anything too hard for God?

~The belief that we can express towards God’s power.
Jeremiah 32:17 – Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

~An impossible situation with man, made possible through and because of God’s plan.
Genesis 18:9-14 – And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

~Future accounts of this story, to encourage us to have faith and truly hold on to the promise that NOTHING is to hard for God.
Hebrews 11:11 – Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Romans 4:16 -21 – Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;  And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

~Our promise to hold on to.
Luke 1:37  – For with God nothing shall be impossible.

We can rest assure on that promise, there is NOTHING in our life that is too big or hard or confusing or messy or troubling for our God to take care of. The situations that we find ourselves in are all of these things because we are human and in our human thinking these situations can overwhelm us. But remember that God doesn’t think the way we do, his power is almighty, and he has everything under control.
