Colossians 3:15-And let the PEACE of God rule in your hearts, to the which ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

In other words…don’t make issues with those in the Body of Christ. Be peaceful with one another and make decisions with keeping the peace in mind. We are apart of ONE body. In a healthy body, you don’t see the different members fighting against one another, they work together. And be thankful for the other members in the body, each one is needed to work efficiently.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore.
Dream.”
Mark Twain (1835-1910)

Hebrews 11:8, 6

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. KJV

I have been looking at a few mountains in my life.
I’m encouraged that I don’t have to face the mountains
alone and that faith the size of a mustard seed is available.
I wish I could hand each of you a mustard seed. God doesn’t
expect a lot from us, He just expects enough.

Refusing to Accept Failure
Sir Edmund Hillary was the first man to climb Mount Everest . On May 29, 1953 he scaled the highest mountain then known to man-29,000 feet straight up. He was knighted for his efforts. He even made American Express card commercials because of it! However, until we read his book, High Adventure, we don’t under stand that Hillary had to grow into this success. You see, in 1952 he attempted to climb Mount Everest , but failed. A few weeks later a group in England asked him to address its members. Hillary walked on stage to a thunderous applause. The audience was recognizing an attempt at greatness, but Edmund Hillary saw himself as a failure. He moved away from the microphone and walked to the edge of the platform. He made a fist and pointed at a picture of the mountain. He said in a loud voice, ” Mount Everest , you beat me the first time, but I’ll beat you the next time because you’ve grown all you are going to grow…but I’m still growing!” – Brian Cavanaugh, T.O.R. “The Sower’s Seeds”

Luke 17:6 – And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed,ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Matthew 21:21-22 – Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Mark 9:23-24 – Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Judges 8:4  And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them. These men had just won a mighty victory, letting their lights shine and shouting the victory over the enemy, but the battle was not over; the enemy was still there. So they continued to press on, faint yet pursuing…..

2Corinthians 4:7-10  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

It doesn’t matter if we are faint, if we feel weak, if it looks hopeless, if the battle is long, if people don’t help us or understand. God says keep pursuing, don’t give up; continue to call on me; endure to the end; draw night to me; cast  your care on me; seek me early; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks

Isaiah 40:28-31  Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Thank you, Lord, for propping me up on every leaning side.

Trust God for your day, ….Today

When I read a very familiar scripture this morning I decided to start with the scripture before and was blessed.

Isaiah 41:9-10

Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for i am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee: yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

And the promises that God had for Israel continue.

But the though that God has chosen ME to be his servant struck me. When God chooses us, he doesn’t cast us away, he holds tightly to us; is jealous over us; and wants us to Fear Not. We can have confidence in that.
