Strong scented with bitter

Undercoatings covering

My now warm tongue

My mind slowly wakens

The scent draws me

Inhaling deeply into my belly

Inviting memories of years

Upon years ago

Dream like

I take another sip

Of Coffee

Nothing says Good Morning for me like a cup of coffee,

whether the start is at the crack of stupid

or at a leisurely 9:30.

Our mornings with God need to start with our looking for his face.

Psalms 27:7-9 ~ Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

Psalms 143:8 ~ Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
